  • On Bloomberg Radio, Jimmy Lee discussed his latest outlook for markets and the economy, stating, “I do believe we’re going to get some cuts. I’m not sure how many at this point, but if inflation data does come in better the second half of the year, then I think that the Fed wants to cut sooner right before an election.” During the interview, Jimmy also highlighted potential opportunities ahead within cyclical and interest-rate-sensitive sectors in a lower-rate environment. • We are thrilled to welcome Calvin E. Lee, Jr., Tommy Sauriol, CFP®, Brenda, and Gretchen Saurage to the WCG Family from Austin, TX! 👏 Please reach out to congratulate them and learn more about their team! We had the pleasure of asking a few questions to learn more about them and what to expect:   What makes you excited about the move to WCG and what are you looking forward to most?   In many ways, we’ll operate our business as usual. We reached a point where we needed more capacity and resources to continue growing our firm. WCG’s larger size and scale will help us manage our business more efficiently, so we can spend more time meeting with our clients. We’re excited to learn new ideas, and we’re looking forward to collaborating with the WCG team and advisors.   Is there anything you’d like your clients and prospects to know about you and your team from a personal/business standpoint and what you can provide for them? We don’t have account minimums. If your friends, colleagues, kids, or family members are looking for financial advice, we’re here to help. Please don’t keep us a secret! Also, there’s no such thing as a dumb question. If you don’t know where your money is or what it’s worth, then we need to fix that. We want you to understand all aspects of your financial plan, and if you don’t, then we’ve failed as your Advisor. We want you to know what you’re doing, and more importantly, why you’re doing it. It’s your money, not ours. If you don’t agree with our recommendation, we’ll adjust. If you don’t want to invest in a particular sector or fund, that’s fine too. We can customize portfolios and create a plan that works for you. We’re flexible! Please reach out to Calvin, Tommy, and their team to learn more and introduce yourselves.

  • Michele Pemberton: Resilient Trailblazer, Innovative Advisor, Dedicated Mother Michele Pemberton's career path is a vivid illustration of determination and the power of seizing opportunities in fields initially unimagined. Excelling in mathematics, Michele originally did not see financial advising in her future until a conversation with a high school friend opened her eyes to its possibilities. With a degree in business and finance in hand, she embarked on her financial journey by joining a small brokerage firm advertised in a newspaper, simultaneously juggling roles in the hospitality sector. Michele's pivotal moment occurred at Merrill Lynch, where she worked as a sales assistant and harbored ambitions of becoming an advisor. Despite facing obstacles, such as being denied entry into an advisor training program, she remained steadfast. Her persistence was rewarded at Prudential Securities (now UBS), where she underwent comprehensive training and tackled the formidable task of establishing a client base from scratch. With a keen understanding of the importance of resilience and personal branding in her profession, Michele went on to establish her own practice under World Equity Group, prioritizing innovation and teamwork. Her entrepreneurial journey took another significant leap forward when she acquired a WCG practice and transitioned her own client portfolio to WCG. Michele appreciates the collaborative culture at WCG, a rarity in the financial sector, where the sharing of ideas is encouraged among colleagues. Additionally, WCG stands out for its notably higher percentage of female professionals compared to other firms where Michele has previously worked, aligning with her values of inclusivity and diversity in the workplace. Beyond her professional success, Michele balances a rich family life, indulging in sports, camping, and recently completing a family home in Big Bear Lake. Michele Pemberton's narrative is more than a career biography; it's a story of overcoming obstacles, pioneering in a competitive field, and finding a fulfilling balance between work and personal life.

  • On BNN Bloomberg, our CIO, Jim Worden, CFA, CMT, CAIA, shared his take on the possibility of the S&P 500 reaching 6,000 points this year. Jim believes much of this hinges on the current AI surge we're witnessing. There's significant growth in tech, not limited to just Nvidia but across major tech players, which could be a driving factor. Additionally, Jim anticipates that if the Fed implements the three cuts, small-cap companies could see heightened performance. He points out the robust market breadth and expects the momentum to persist, albeit with potential volatility due to various political events taking place this year. Watch the interview for further insights into diversification strategies to mitigate potential downside risks ahead, sectors Jim finds appealing, opportunities within international markets, and more: https://shorturl.at/eoQX6
