My pregnancy, labor & delivery, and postpartum experiences wouldn't have been what they were/are without the support of VFD.

My husband and I are not from this area, so we had very in person little support and we knew we wanted some type of support with our first baby. I personally knew from the start that I wanted a doula as a part of labor and delivery. Someone to make sure my husband, myself and baby were seen & heard. We knew from my discovery call with Aisha that we wanted to be part of the VFD family.

We knew a doula by definition is a birth companion, nonclinical birth worker, birth coach or post-birth supporter, by providing continuous care before, during, or after in the form of information, advocacy, physical support, and emotional support.

However, what we got with VFD is beyond that definition. Personally, my family got paired with Aisha and Sarah. We've never felt so safe with two humans we've only met once and communicated via texts multiple times in such a vulnerable season of life, especially in labor and in the depths of postpartum. Aisha and Sarah provided a level of support that we didn't even know we needed or wanted - they walked not only me but my husband as well through all our concerns, questions, and uncertainties. They also celebrated with us.

My family and I are beyond blessed that we got to work with Aisha and Sarah as our doulas.

What Aisha has built through VFD is what every family needs - in my opinion. Aisha hasn't left anything out in making sure the whole family is supported whether it be during pregnancy and/or in the postpartum season. Aisha is amazing at what she does.

Sarah as our L&D and PP doula is something you can't truly put into words as she has supported us through the depths of PP with such care, grace, and thoughtfulness. She has made such a positive impact on the entire family. We are going to miss having her as a part of our daily lives.

I'm sad we are leaving the area as I would (still trying to find a way to do so from another state) be utilizing them for baby #2 when the time comes. I will recommend Aisha and her entire team to anyone that will listen. Investing in their support throughout pregnancy and postpartum is one of the best investments I've ever made. You can't put a price on the safety and security you feel when it comes to support of yourself or your family - which is what we found in our time as a VFD VIP.

Ayesha & Sarah have been amazing through out my pregnancy and birth journey! I don't know what I would have done without them and I recommend a doula to anyone that is pregnancy.
Through your my pregnancy they answered all my questions, they helped ease my anxiety as my due date approached and when I went past my due date. On the big day, not only they supported me but they provided the guidance to my partner to help me in the beginning stages of labor until they arrived. They were with me on every step, provided guidance physically and emotionally but that's not all they genuinely care for their clients. They've continued to check up on me post partum and Ayesha even brought the most adorable gift for baby.
I highly recommend these team, it's been the best experience!

My wife and I signed up for both the pre and post partum care. Due to an unscheduled C section we didn't get the full experience (so no fault of theirs). That said Aisha and her team had us very well prepared for the process.

Where we have experience is with the postpartum serivce. This has been fantastic, and one of the best decisions we made regarding the care of our son. It isn't just support (which has been great) but rather training us to be independent (We have worked with Sarah, Kathleen and Tiffany). In 8 weeks were were ready to be on our own all the time due to the knowledge and confidence they gave us. We know all the cues to look for so we cut off any fussiness issues with our son long before they are a problem. We have decided to keep using the service to give my wife peace of mind when she goes out as she knows our son is in great hands. Once bit of advice.. front load the time to get you up to speed and let you get adjusted... you will be thankful you did. Our son is calm because we are more confident....their service is the best gift you can give yourself after the birth of your child. Highly recommend...

This review is in regards to postpartum doula care. Honestly it was the best decision I made after having a second baby! Aisha and her team helped me get through a tough first year with my heart baby son and 2 year old daughter. Literally each time I had someone scheduled, the second I heard the knock on the door I just felt so relieved! I've worked with Khristina and Kathleen and they are both amazing - making sure I was ok and also so loving and caring to my children. They are intuitive, responsible mothers themselves and helped me feel normal and less crazy time and time again. They helped me while I exclusively pumped by doing feedings, storing milk, washing bottles/dishes, they do things as needed like naps, laundry, tidied the house/playroom, stayed with my son at the hospital so he was never alone, watched my daughter while we took our son to appointments and procedures.. the list goes on with so much more. I am so happy I surrounded myself with such good people and I want to acknowledge Aisha and her team for being super moms and that I am grateful for every moment!

I had my placenta encapsulation done by Jennifer from Vegas Family Doulas and the service was perfect! She was so patient and was checking up with me every day while I was in the hospital as my delivery took 4 days! Then she scheduled a visit and did everything in two days! She brought all the tools and equipment and did it at my house, and was explaining each step thoroughly to me. She simply cares a lot and I love how sweet she was! I started taking pills and definitely felt more energy after around 2 days, where I didn't have that crash around noon after lunch anymore. Since I had a c section, I also noticed less pain and was able to move more, and each day I'm producing more milk. I highly highly recommend this service! I am literally telling all my friends who are pregnant (I have 4 of them right now LOL) that this service is a must after delivery! Nikolina

Aisha and her team at Vegas Family Doulas helped me after I gave birth to my beautiful daughter in 2016.

If you're unsure whether you might want a postpartum doula, my opinion is that everyone should have one! Aisha helped me out in practical ways, preparing simple meals while I took care of my baby at a time when I ate irregularly. She also answered my many questions about how to take care of a baby and gave me lots of tips. With no family in town, I felt a bit lost! Aisha's help made me feel more confident.

Side note: Aisha has dogs herself and was completely comfortable with my pets, which included a dog, a cat, and a ferret at that time.

I've stayed in touch with Aisha since my daughter's birth, and this is a woman you can trust and be comfortable letting into your life and home. She is kind and giving. I wouldn't hesitate to hire her again if I had another child.

Thanks to Aisha for her incredible support, non-judgemental answers to all of our questions, and helping us to create a plan that's making our sleep easier. She took care of our twins!

I had the pleasure of having Aisha and Kathleen. Kathleen was great and very attentive to my daughter, it was really nice to take a shower and nap knowing she was in good hands. Aisha changed my life, she gave me the confidence and knowledge on things that I just had no clue about. This is my first baby, so I was overwhelmed by all the information out there that it almost hindered me. Aisha showed me how to feed my baby, bathe my baby, soothe her, and even get her in a routine (when she was ready). I felt like they both truly cared about me and my baby. The help and knowledge I gained was worth everything to me. Im beyond grateful and can't wait to use their service again when I have my next baby!

Aisha and cherise were amazing support for my wife and my newborn son.. not only did cherise come last minute to the hospital but she showed us many thing on how to care for our baby and just helped my wife feel at ease with everything.. when she was around we just felt not relaxed knowing someone was here that knew what to do in most cases.. the placenta encapsulation process was also great and very professional.. highly recommend them.

Vegas Family Doulas took INCREDIBLE care of our family after our 2nd child, our daughter, was born. If I could go back in time and have a postpartum doula after our 1st son was born, I totally would! My memories of the 12 weeks after my daughter was born are absolutely blissful and priceless because of Vegas Family Doulas. Aisha met with us during the pregnancy to help us outline our goals and needs for her postpartum doula care. She was extremely professional, courteous, warm, educated, and joyful. We had some beloved family and friends who gifted us a "Postpartum Doula" fund instead of unnecessary baby "stuff" and this was the best gift they could have given us! When Aisha came for her postpartum doula sessions at our home, she made us feel 100% supported and comfortable. She didn't just take care of me while I was recovering from birth, she also took care of our whole family! It was like Aisha cared for us with the compassion and joy of a family member, but with the attention, education, and sensitivity of a trusted professional. Having her was even better than having family/friends play this role, because I didn't worry about inconveniencing her (she was eager and happy to help!) and because she didn't bring any "family" junk with her (you know what I'm talking about, family members have a special way of bringing in love AND stress, too!). Aisha took care of so many details like making sure we were fed healthy snacks/meals, helping me with breastfeeding and setting up my breast pump, changing the baby, playing with my older son, bringing us toilet paper (the super soft kind! lol) and other last minute needs on the way over, folding laundry, leaving a clean kitchen when she left, making sure the baby's car seat was installed safely and correctly, and 100 other things. All of this allowed us to just rest and soak in the amazing newborn cuddles to get to know our new sweet baby. You won't regret hiring Vegas Family Doulas and you'll wish that they would become a permanent member of your family.
